Support Harmony on Giving Tuesday!

Harmony CDC has experienced a significant impact on our community as we work to address the immediate needs of our families. Here are some of the needs identified with our families in our community, our Harmony staff, and operation and service delivery model:

● We have seen a 100% increase in the number of families we serve. We are providing nutritional and healthy food from our food pantry. Typically, we serve 75-100 families per week with 35-pounds of food which includes produce, dairy, meat, canned goods, bread, and cereal. Due to COVID19, we are now serving 200-250 families per week.

● We are experiencing a short supply and inconsistency in the availability of certain food items ordered through North Texas Food Bank (Crossroads Community Agency). Needed items include: rice, dry beans, mac and cheese, peanut butter, canned vegetables, noodles, cereal, canned chicken & tuna.

● We, like many others, are in short supply of personal protection gear (PPE) to ensure the safety and health of our staff and volunteers. We are in need of masks, boxes of nitrile or latex gloves (sizes M, L, XL), disinfectant spray and wipes, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, water (16.9oz bottles for volunteers), 16x12x8 boxes from U-line (S-4235), and snacks for children that can be included in the food boxes.

● Many families we serve at Harmony are facing the risk of becoming homeless. Join us in supporting our efforts to continue providing rental and utility assistance to those impacted by COVID19.

● Harmony Counseling Center has observed an exacerbation of symptoms among clients with chronic mental health diagnoses. Our Counseling Center has seen an increase in family violence, child abuse, anxiety, depression, fear, stress and loneliness.

Join us in our community efforts to continue strengthening families and revitalizing neighborhoods.
